FOMVM Launches New Website

For years, FOMVM has worked behind the scenes to support Monte Vista Montessori School beyond what tuition covers: funding campus repairs, restocking classroom materials, and bringing families together through events like the Night at The Cove and Big Give SA. Our new site is designed to make that work more visible, and to make it easier than ever for parents, alumni, and neighbors to get involved.

What's New

• A clearer story. The site now traces FOMVM's roots all the way back to Kriterion Montessori School and the Laven family's arrival in San Antonio in 1953 — the history that shaped who we are today.

• A straightforward way to give. Whether you want to support campus improvements, classroom materials, or family programming, the Give page makes it simple to see where your donation goes and how to send it.

• An events hub. Upcoming fundraisers and community traditions — from the Festival at The Cove to our Winter Social — now live in one place, so you'll never miss what's next.

• Faces behind the mission. Our Board of Directors page puts names to faces, so you know exactly who's working on behalf of MVM families.

Why It Matters

MVM has been part of the Monte Vista neighborhood since the 1950s, and FOMVM exists to help carry that legacy forward — one renovated classroom, one community event, one family at a time. This new website is one more way we're working to keep that mission transparent, accessible, and easy to support.
